Tire Manufacturers Earn USTMA Safety Awards
U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) handed out siz safety awards to six tire makers with operation in the United States for their excellent efforts in worker safety and health in 2017.
The USTMA created new Leadership Awards that honor companies that promoted innovative practices to improve their workers safety.
The four companies that received the Leadership Award in 2017 are:
Bridgestone Americas Inc.
Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.
Michelin North America Inc.
Sumitomo Rubber Industries
“USTMA members share a vision for U.S. tire manufacturing industry of zero injuries in the workplace”, says the CEO and president of USTMA, Anne Forristal Luke.
Over forty plants including manufacturers of tread rubber, inner tubes, tire and aircraft tires supplied data to an annual survey created by USTMA to be eligible for the awards. Other awards that were given out were Excellence Awards and Improvement. Awards.
